Monitor

Catch a conversion action that stops recording while its campaigns keep spending.

Each morning Adintel checks every enabled conversion action that is counted, primary or marked real against its own last four weeks, and flags one that has gone silent for three days or more, or fallen to a quarter of its usual week, while its campaigns keep spending. Mark the conversions the business is paid for, and pauses and conversion anomalies judge on those alone.

The demo account’s Conversions: each conversion action with what it recorded over 30 days, how it counts, its outcome tier and its Google Ads settings.
What you see

Each action with what it recorded, and how it counts.

Every conversion action and what it recorded over the last 30 days whose conversions have come in, grouped the way Google counts them. A break, when one is caught, shows on its row and in a strip at the top.

Make it secondary chosen on a conversion action, and the confirm naming the campaigns that bid on conversions.
Checked before it changes biddingMake an action primary or secondary from here: the confirm reads Google first and names the campaigns that bid on conversions, since what they optimise for changes.
The demo account’s Timeline narrowed to tracking and data.
Tracking on the TimelineA day when what is counted changed, or the data was corrected, is marked on the Timeline, because figures either side of it do not compare directly.
How it decides

Judged against the action’s own record.

Silent means nothing recorded for three days running or more, where the action recorded on at least 15 of the 28 days before; the more often it used to record, the sooner a silence counts. Collapsed means its last 7 days hold a quarter or less of what the 28 days before predict, where that prediction is at least 14 conversions.

Either is a break only while the campaigns it recorded on keep spending at least half their usual daily amount, and only days old enough for their conversions to have come in are judged.

A break comes first in your briefing, ahead of anything ranked by money, because it means the account’s figures cannot be trusted. The same break is then held back for 7 days.

What you can do from it

  • Mark the actions the business is paid for as Real outcome, and signals such as page views as Soft. The tiers stay in Adintel; nothing is sent to Google.
  • Make an action primary or secondary, or switch how it counts, one action at a time through the confirm.
  • Undo a change Adintel made to an action’s settings.
  • Open a break from your briefing, where it comes first.

What it will not do

  • It never watches Soft actions, or the ones Google measures itself, such as store visits and local actions.
  • It stops calling an action silent for 60 days or more a break; the audit reports it as never recording.
  • It judges no day too recent for its conversions to have come in.
  • Setting a tier sends nothing to Google.
Questions

Questions about conversion tracking

What do Real outcome, Soft and Not set mean?

They are yours to set, and they stay in Adintel. Real outcome is what the business is paid for: once one enabled action is marked real, the pause suggestions and the conversion anomalies judge on the real actions alone, secondary ones such as imported offline sales included. Soft is a signal, never watched for breaks. With nothing marked real, Adintel reads Google’s Conversions column.

When does a tier change take effect?

The anomalies read it from the next morning’s analysis, and the pause suggestions once the next sync has read the actions per keyword and ad. The strip at the top of the page says which.

What happens to bidding when I make an action primary?

What the account’s enabled campaigns that bid on conversions optimise for changes from the next auction. The confirm names them before you send.

Why can’t I switch how a Google Analytics 4 action counts?

Its counting is set in Google Analytics, so the page says so in place of the switch.
