See every change in an account, who made it, and what the account did that day.
The Timeline sets out each day’s changes beside its spend and conversions: yours, Adintel’s, other people’s, Google’s auto-apply and Google itself, automated rules, scripts and other tools, with your notes for a sale, an outage or a feed change. A rule that changes hundreds of bids reads as one line, and it reaches 13 months back.

One line per day, per source, per kind of change.
A budget, target, bid strategy or status change keeps its own line with the old and new values. Routine changes by rules and scripts are fainter, and what Adintel found that day sits folded at its foot.

Grouped by day, by source and by kind.
Each line is one day, one source and one kind of change, with the campaigns inside it. A budget, target, bid strategy or status change, and a switch such as AI Max, networks, conversion settings or auto-apply, keeps its own line in bold with the old and new values.
Routine changes by automated rules and scripts, changes Google reports without saying who made them, and a change Adintel made and undid within the hour are shown more faintly. A day where what is counted changed, or Adintel corrected its copy of the data, is marked, because figures either side of it do not compare directly.
Google’s change history is read each morning. The foot of the page says from which day it is kept for the account; before that day, the Timeline holds Adintel’s own changes, your notes and its findings.
What you can do from it
- Narrow it with Who, to one source, and What, to one kind: budgets and bidding, status, keywords and negatives, ads and assets, settings and products, tracking and data, notes, Adintel’s findings, or did it work.
- Add a note for a sale, an outage, or a price or feed change, and mark a day when what is counted changed. It shows here and on the Overview’s chart.
- Put back a budget, target or network Google’s auto-apply changed, from Made in Google Ads.
- Print Made by Adintel for a client: the account and the period under the title, then each day’s changes with the time and the reason.
- Read further back, 30 days at a time, up to 13 months.
What it will not do
- Before the day Google’s history is kept from, it shows only Adintel’s own changes, your notes and its findings.
- A change made in Google Ads appears after the next morning’s read.
- Made by Adintel is printed, not shared by link; a final client report can be shared.
- It never counts a change made and undone within the hour as a change that stood; it shows it faintly.
Questions about the Timeline
What does Made by Adintel leave out?
A change made and undone within the period, one that sent nothing because the account was already that way, and a budget, target or status put back the same day when every change to it that day was made from Adintel or by the account’s Adintel users.
How do I add a note?
Choose Add a note at the top, on the Overview’s chart, or on a briefing item. Give the day, the last day if the event ran longer, and what happened.
Can I share it with a client?
Print / Save PDF prints Made by Adintel as a report, with no change split across two pages. For the month as a whole, with what else changed and whether each change worked, the client report is made for your client, and a final one can be shared by link.
How far back does it go?
Up to 13 months, read 30 days at a time. The foot of the page says from which day Google’s own change history is kept for the account.
