Audit

The nightly check and written reports, what changed since yesterday, reading a finding, and fixing one from Adintel.

Reviewed 24 October 2026

What is the audit?

A review of how the account is built and how it has run over the last 90 days, in ten areas: account structure, bidding, negative keywords, ads and creative, Shopping and feed, conversion tracking, budget, audiences and targeting, search terms, and quality and relevance. Every day after the morning read, Adintel checks each monitored account that has synced since its last check, and writes the findings in its own wording. Write a report runs the same checks now and has each finding rewritten in plain words, for onboarding a client or preparing for a call; if a report was already written since the last sync, it asks before writing another. When there is more than one run, the picker lists Nightly checks and Reports. How the audit decides gives the rules.

What changed since yesterday?

A nightly check opens on Since yesterday's check: what is new or now critical, and what is no longer reported, compared with the account's last nightly check. Each change carries its cause:

  • Fixed from Adintel: you fixed it here.
  • A change in the account: a change in Google Ads that bears on it, with that change's verdict once it has one.
  • Adintel corrected its copy: Adintel corrected its copy of the account's data.
  • Business context edited: you changed something the check reads, such as a goal, the break-even or the settle days.
  • Crossed the check's line: a figure moved past the check's threshold.
  • No change recorded: nothing Adintel can see explains it. Google's change history does not record every change, conversion settings among them.

How do I read a finding?

Its severity (Critical, Needs attention or Worth knowing), what was found, the Recommendation, and an Estimated impact where one can be measured. Each finding is either a Quick win, one you could act on today, or Strategic, one that needs planning, such as a restructure or a bidding change. Show detail lists the figures and the campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, products or regions behind it. Acknowledge marks it seen in this run; the finding stays in the report. Quick wins get their own list at the top, and All findings then lists every finding by area.

Can I fix a finding from here?

Where one change resolves a finding, Fix from Adintel sits beside it, on the latest check or report only. The fixes are: pausing a campaign, duplicate keywords or old ads; removing a negative that blocks a keyword or converting term; turning Search Partners, the Display Network or AI Max settings off; excluding a product or the search terms you tick; attaching a negative keyword list; making a conversion action primary or secondary, or counting one per click; pausing an auto-apply type; or changing a target. Each goes through the usual confirm (changes you make from Adintel). The fix is recorded beside the finding, and later checks say whether they still report it.

What could the audit not check?

Checks not run on this account lists the checks held back, under their reason: the account does not yet have enough history for the check to be reliable, it does not track a real value per conversion, Google does not report the figures the check needs at the level it reads, Adintel has not yet read all the figures it needs, or no exchange rate was read for a floor set in US dollars. Not assessed in this audit names the areas no audit covers, the same on every account, because Google's API does not give what they need. An audit that quietly skipped them would read as cleaner than the account is.

Can I share it with a client?

Yes. Print / Save PDF prints the run you have open as a report under the account's name and the day it was checked. The first page sums it up: the findings counted by severity and the quick wins in a numbered list. After it, every finding is set out once, under its area, with its severity marked down its left edge, and no finding is split across two pages. The fixes, the Since yesterday's check section and the page's controls are left out, and every page's footer names the account, the report, the day and the page number.
