Recommendations

Google's open recommendations with Adintel's verdict on each, how each kind is judged, dismissing them, and the assets Google made.

What is on this page?

The recommendations Google has open for the account, read once a day with the morning read, each with Adintel's verdict and the reason for it, grouped:

  • Worth acting on: the account's figures say do it.
  • Adintel says dismiss: the account's figures say it would cost more than it brings, or it cannot do anything here.
  • Your call: no rule settles it, and the reason says what the recommendation would do.

Adintel judges each by rule, every morning, against your goal and break-even from business context and what the campaign spent and converted. Where Google estimates what a recommendation would bring, Adintel's reason quotes the estimate, but the estimate never decides the verdict. No language model is involved.

How is a budget raise judged?

A budget raise is read on the campaign's last 30 days whose conversions have come in, or 90 when 30 hold fewer than 10 conversions. It is worth acting on when Google says the campaign lost 10% or more of its impression share to budget over the last 14 days while spending at least 90% of its budget, and it has 10 or more conversions at a cost per conversion or ROAS no more than 10% worse than your goal and not below break-even. It is dismissed when the budget is not what holds it back, when its cost per conversion or ROAS misses your goal by more than 10%, or when its ROAS is below break-even. Under 10 conversions it is also dismissed when, on a cost per conversion goal, even 10 conversions for that spend would miss the goal by more than 10%. With no goal in business context, or in any other case, it is your call.

How are targets and bid strategies judged?

A loosened target (a higher target CPA or lower target ROAS) is dismissed when the target changed within its settle days (14 unless you set a different number in business context), when the new target would miss your goal of the same kind by more than 10%, or when a new target ROAS would be below break-even. Otherwise it is your call.

A switch to conversion or value bidding, or setting a target, is dismissed under 10 conversions in the last 30 days, and otherwise your call.

How are the other kinds judged?

  • Search Partners or Display Expansion: dismissed when your goal is leads. With 10 or more conversions on that network over 90 days, it is dismissed where the network converts more than 10% worse than Search (on ROAS when your goal is ROAS, on cost per conversion otherwise), and worth acting on where it does not. With fewer, it is your call.
  • A lead form: dismissed where the account already counts a lead of its own, such as a form, a call or a booking, as a conversion.
  • Ad strength on Performance Max: dismissed on an asset group with no text, image or video you added, which serves product ads from the feed alone.
  • Sitelinks, callouts and call assets: dismissed where 95% or more of the campaign's search spend over 90 days went to product ads from the feed.
  • Merchant Center fixes: worth acting on, in Merchant Center.
  • Everything else: your call, with what it would do.

How do I dismiss one?

Choose Dismiss in Google Ads beside it. To dismiss several together, tick them, or let the page tick every one Adintel says to dismiss. A dismissal changes nothing that serves, and each is logged. Google gives tools no way to bring a dismissed recommendation back, though Google may offer it again if it still applies.

When a budget or target recommendation names its campaign, it opens the campaign's own controls on the Overview, where you type the amount yourself and Google checks it before it is sent. Adintel never applies Google's recommendation itself, because applying a recommendation through Google cannot be checked in advance or undone. Anything else opens in Google Ads or Merchant Center.

What are the assets Google made?

Assets Google made counts the assets Google created for the account, including any attached to nothing, and lists where they serve: the whole account, or a campaign's asset groups or ad groups. Where Google reports figures for them, the last 30 days are shown as Google gives them. Those cover only part of a campaign's traffic, so they are never added to the campaign's. Review or remove in Google Ads opens them there.

What is Where Google can make more?

Where Google can make more lists each serving campaign whose automation switches are on, so Google can create more, and names the switches. Where the only switches on are a Search campaign's AI Max ones, Turn off in Adintel opens them on the Overview; anything else is changed in Google Ads. Automated promotions and coupons are not readable through Google's API, so check those in Google Ads.
