Search terms

Every search term for the window, what has already been done about each, and excluding or adding them from the page.

Reviewed 22 October 2026

What does the page show?

Every search term for the window, with its spend, clicks, conversions, value, CPC and ROAS, on two tabs: PMax and Search & Shopping. On the PMax tab Adintel keeps only terms that drew a click, and Min. clicks hides those below a floor you choose, one click to start. The page opens on spend, highest first.

Find keeps the terms that contain every word you type, in any order, on both tabs, and adds up what the open tab's matches spent. Status narrows by Google's own status for the term: Not acted on, Added, Excluded or Added + Excluded. Campaign narrows to one campaign, and Source, on the Search & Shopping tab, to the terms AI Max matched.

What does each row say is already done?

Under each term, before you do anything: what Adintel added for it, with Remove; any negative already in the account that stops it, and where; and a keyword or search theme with the same words, such as Already a keyword here. When none of those applies, the row shows Google's own status for the term instead. Google's status reflects the last day the term served, so it can lag a change.

How do I exclude or add terms from here?

Tick terms, and a bar appears with what they spent. Exclude as negatives adds each ticked term as its own negative, exact match by default, at the level you choose: the account, their campaigns, their ad groups (Performance Max has none), or a negative keyword list, existing or new. Add as keyword or search theme adds one term at a time: as a keyword in a Search ad group, or as a search theme in a Performance Max asset group where it appeared. A Shopping term can be added as neither. A preview shows what each term will get, what is already done and anything that cannot be sent, before anything is written.

Each action is also your decision on the term, so triage will not ask about it again.

What happens when I remove one?

Remove takes out everything Adintel added for that term. A negative made once for a group of terms is removed for the whole group, and the button says how many. Anything that was in the account before Adintel stays as it was. If the term already had a decision in triage, that decision is put back; a term triage never sorted stays marked as decided, so triage does not pick it up.

What is the line above the table?

For the window, and the campaign when you filter to one: how much of the spend went on searches whose term Google shows, how much on search Google showed no term for, and how much on other channels. Find and the filters other than Campaign do not change it. What you can't see explains the three parts.
