Briefing
The few things across all your accounts that need you this morning, what each item says, and what you can do from it.
Reviewed 22 October 2026
What is the briefing?
Each morning, the few things across every account you monitor that most need you, with the most important first. Each account is read in its own time zone: spend and clicks up to yesterday, conversions up to the last day Google has had time to record them. Adintel finds the candidates by rule and puts first anything that makes an account's figures untrustworthy or that Google changed through auto-apply, then the rest by the money at stake. At most five are then chosen and written up; how the briefing chooses its items has the detail.
A quiet morning has no items and says Nothing needs your attention. That is the product working, not a fault.
What does an item say?
Its kind (for example Anomaly, Budget pacing or Tracking), the account and campaign, a headline, and why it matters. Under that, At stake gives the money involved in the account's own currency and what it measures, such as a week of spend lost to budget. Suggested next step opens a sentence of advice where there is one; it is advice only, and changes nothing.
What can I do from an item?
Each item links to where it is worked: the anomaly, the AI Max terms in triage, Conversions, Google's changes on the Timeline, the campaign or the account on the Overview, Actions, or the terms waiting in triage. Some items also carry their own action, opened under the item:
- Raise the budget on a campaign held back by its daily budget.
- AI Max switches on a campaign where AI Max's traffic converts clearly worse than its keywords' traffic, or not at all, or is spending on competitor terms.
- Review the suggestions here for the suggestions waiting in Actions.
- Pause auto-apply here when Google applied its own recommendations.
A budget, an AI Max switch or an auto-apply type goes through the same confirm as anywhere else in Adintel (changes you make from Adintel). A suggestion is applied as it is on Actions: at once, logged, with its reversal beside it. The item itself does not change; tomorrow's briefing reads the account as it then is.
How do I add a note from an item?
Add a note opens a note on that account's timeline, dated the briefing's day; you can change the date or add a last day. Use it for a sale, a site outage, or a price or feed change. It shows on the Timeline and on the Overview's chart. Tick This changed what's counted as a conversion when the event did, and the timeline marks the day.
Can I see an earlier briefing?
Yes. Pick a day with the date box at the top right. The page then names that day instead of saying this morning.
Why is there no briefing?
- No briefing yet: nothing has been composed for that day. Briefings are composed after each morning's sync and analysis, from about 08:00 UTC; for a newly monitored account, the first one is composed as soon as its first sync and analysis finish.
- Composing your briefing: it is being written now; check back in a moment.
- Briefing couldn't be composed: the morning's composition did not complete. The anomalies, triage and the rest are all there; review the accounts directly.
Can I get it by email?
Yes, and it is on by default. Email me this briefing each morning at the foot of the page turns it off or on. The briefing email says what it carries.
