Help · How Adintel decides
Changes you make from Adintel
Nothing reaches Google Ads without your click. What the confirm checks, what goes many at once and what one at a time, undoing a change, and the record of every change.

Does Adintel change anything on its own?
No. Every change to a Google Ads account waits on you, whether it comes from triage, the search terms page, Actions, a campaign's controls, a briefing item, an audit fix, Conversions, Recommendations, the Timeline or the auto-apply pause. There is no automatic mode and no setting to turn one on.
What does the confirm check?
A campaign's controls, a briefing item's budget, AI Max or auto-apply action, an audit fix, Conversions, Undo and put back all share one confirm. A click first reads the account from Google, not from Adintel's copy, so the confirm shows each item as it is in Google Ads now and as it will be, what it spends or may spend, and every campaign a shared budget serves. Google is then asked to check the exact change without making it, and anything it would refuse shows before you send. Checking with Google Ads… appears while this happens. When you send, Adintel reads Google once more: an item that has changed since you reviewed it is left alone, and you are told.
Triage, the search terms page and Actions show where a change goes, send it on your click and log it; they do not ask Google to check it first. Dismissing a recommendation cannot be checked with Google first.
What goes many at once, and what one at a time?
In the confirm:
- Changes that can only cut spend may go several at once, each its own logged change: pausing, switching AI Max, a network or an automation off, excluding.
- Any change of an amount, and any change that can raise spend, goes one at a time: a budget or target changed or removed, anything enabled, a negative removed. On a campaign's controls the amount is yours to type; the box is never filled in for you.
- Changes to what is counted go one at a time, with a warning naming the campaigns that bid on conversions: making a conversion action primary or secondary, or changing how it counts.
How do I undo a change?
The latest change Adintel made on an item shows under its control with Undo, and Undo puts back the value it replaced, through the same confirm, without your retyping it. If someone has changed the item in Google Ads since, the confirm shows its value now, and you must tick Replace the change made since before the undo goes ahead. A change cannot be undone once its item has been removed, or once the campaign's bid strategy has changed. Undo still works while your plan is paused or after your trial ends.
Can I put back what Google's auto-apply changed?
Yes, for a budget or target Google's auto-apply changed, or a network it switched on: Put back what auto-apply changed, on the Timeline or its Made in Google Ads view, restores the value it replaced, through the same confirm. Auto-apply itself can be paused from the Overview.
Where is every change recorded?
Each change is logged with its time, the account, what it touched, the value before and after, why it was made and who made it. The Timeline's Made by Adintel view lists the changes Adintel made that landed in the account over the period you choose, last month unless you pick another, leaving out any undone within it, ready to print for a client, and the Timeline shows each change under that day's spend and conversions.
