Team seats
Adding teammates to the accounts you choose. They sign in with their own email, work through your connection in the role you give them, and keep anything of their own.
What is a team?
Everyone who works on your accounts in Adintel under your plan. You are the team's owner: you connect Google, choose the accounts the team monitors, manage the plan, and decide who is on the team and what each person can do on each account. A teammate signs in with their own email and works through your connection on the accounts you give them, so they never connect Google for those. If they also use Adintel on accounts of their own, joining changes nothing of theirs. Every plan includes as many teammates as you like: it counts the accounts your team monitors, never the people. If Adintel does not have your name, the Team page asks for it under Your name before your first invitation goes: your teammates see it in place of your email address.
How do I add a teammate?
Open Team in the side rail. Under Invite a teammate, enter the email address they will sign in with, tick the accounts to give them, pick a role on each, then choose Send invitation. You can give only the accounts your team monitors through your own Google login; to give another, first add it on the Connect page (choosing the accounts you monitor). An account another team gave you cannot be passed on. The invitation is emailed at once and stays open for 14 days. It does not depend on the email: signing in at adintel.io/invitations with the invited address shows it too. If the email is refused, the page says so and Adintel tries again within the hour, up to three attempts in all. If Adintel cannot tell whether it went, it does not send it again, and the page asks you to send your teammate to adintel.io/invitations.
What can an editor or a viewer do?
- An editor can make every change on the account: approving search terms and suggestions, the controls, the audit's fixes, Undo and put back, dismissing Google's recommendations, and pausing or resuming auto-apply. They also run audits, mark anomalies, audit findings and real outcomes, write notes, set business context, targets and break-even, make and share client reports and audit reports, and turn shared links off.
- A viewer reads everything on the account and changes nothing. On that account, their pages say View only under the title and show no controls. They can still ask about it in Ask Adintel, which only reads.
- Only you, as the team's owner, can connect Google for the team, choose what the team monitors, manage the plan, set the business name and logo on what you send clients, and add or remove teammates.
A role is per account, so a teammate can edit one account and only view another.
What does my teammate do with the invitation?
They open the email's link, or go to adintel.io/invitations, and sign in with the address it was sent to. The page shows who invited them, the accounts with the role on each, and what joining means. Nothing happens until they choose Join the team or Decline. Someone Adintel has no name for types it on that page before joining: the team sees it in place of their email address. Someone already signed in to Adintel also sees a line at the top of every page saying an invitation is waiting, with a link to it.
Someone new to Adintel only needs to sign in: no free trial starts while the invitation is open. If they decline it and no other invitation is open to them, their own free trial starts then. If the invitation is withdrawn or runs out before they decide, their trial starts the next time they use Adintel.
Who can join, and what does joining change for them?
Anyone, whether they are new to Adintel or already use it on accounts of their own. Joining never takes anything away: their own plan, Google login and accounts, and any other teams they are on, stay as they are, and your team's accounts are added beside them. If the invitation gives an account they already reach, through their own Google login or from another team, they keep it that way, in the role they have there, and the page says so before they join. They cannot accept an invitation to their own team or to a team they are already on. If your team no longer reaches an account the invitation names, Join the team says so; send them a new invitation.
What does a teammate see?
Someone who works only on teams has Choose accounts at the foot of the side rail; someone with a plan of their own has a second list on the Connect page, Accounts teams gave you. In either place, they pick the accounts they watch: the ones their own morning briefing and its email cover. Each account you give them starts watched when your team monitors it; one your team does not monitor cannot be watched. The accounts they watch appear on Accounts and in the side rail's account switcher. An account a team gave them never counts against a plan of their own. Team shows each team they are on, with their accounts and roles, and the Billing page says whose plan covers what.
How do I change a teammate's accounts, or remove a teammate?
On the Team page, Change accounts beside a teammate lets you tick or untick the accounts you give them and change the role on each; Save applies the changes. An account you take away disappears from their pages at once, and one you add starts in their briefing when your team monitors it. One they already have some other way is marked as theirs there, and stays theirs that way. Save needs at least one account: to take every account away, remove them instead. Remove asks first, then at once ends their access to every account you gave them, and Adintel emails them that you removed them. Their own accounts and other teams are not touched; if they have no accounts left, their morning briefings are deleted. What they did stays in the account's record under their name. Changing their accounts or roles sends no email: their Team page shows what they have. If they made shared links on the accounts you gave them that still work, you can turn those off at the same time. A link left on keeps working until it expires, or until someone who can edit the account turns it off.
What happens when I take an account off my selection?
Teammates who reach it through your connection stop watching it too, because the team's selection is yours. It is left out of their next briefing, though a briefing already composed keeps it. They keep their access to it, and its data stays readable. Monitoring it again does not put it back on their lists: each teammate ticks it again where they choose the accounts they watch.
What if my plan ends, or Adintel loses my Google access?
Your plan covers your accounts, including the ones you give your teammates. If it pauses, syncing and analysis of those accounts stop, unless someone else's plan also covers them, and everyone can still read what is already there. If Adintel can no longer reach an account through your Google login, that account stops updating for your teammates too. After 30 days without a plan, your data is deleted. Your teammates lose their access to every account they reach through your connection. Their own accounts and other teams are not touched, and a teammate with no accounts left loses their briefings too. Only you are emailed before it happens. Your teammates stay on your team with no accounts: if you subscribe again, reconnect Google and choose the accounts to monitor, then give them their accounts again on the Team page (when access ends).
How do I see or withdraw an invitation?
Under Invitations on the Team page, each one shows when it was sent, the day it is open until, and, while it is open, whether its email went. One that was declined or withdrawn, or that ran out, stays listed for 30 days after it closed, with what happened. One that was accepted leaves the list: the teammate appears under Your team, with the day they joined. Withdraw closes an open one at once. An expired invitation cannot be reopened; send a new one with Send invitation.
Can someone be on more than one team?
Yes. A person can be on several teams beside their own, each giving its own accounts, and one morning briefing covers whatever they watch across all of them. Someone who works only on teams can also start a free trial of their own from the Team page, to use Adintel on accounts of their own; their teams stay as they are. Someone removed from their only team, with no plan of their own, is told on every page that their access ended, and can be invited again or start a free trial of their own from the Team page or the Accounts page. While an invitation is open to them, those pages point to it instead.
